Key Wins:
Iowa Barnstormers, Mac Irvin Fire (EYBL), D3 M.O.A.M. (adidas Gauntlet), K-Low Elite/Team Philly (adidas Gauntlet), Indiana Pocket City, Grassroots Hoops MN, UPLAY Canada, Quad City Elite
Standout Performers:
6’3 PG TEYVION KIRK (JOLIET WEST)
The big lead-guard turned the corner as a MM+ point guard and showed why he’s considered one of the top PGs in the Midwest region. Kirk consistently showed his vision, passing ability, rebounding skills, scoring ability and defensive skills night in and night out. He’s a point guard you won’t hesitant to go to war with!
6’3 G DEMARIUS JACOBS (UPLIFT)
The super athletic-versatile guard had D1s convinced he can play either the point guard or a shooting guard position at the college–performed at a high-level at either position. Jacobs showcased his improved jump-shot and was able to connect about 1.5 3FG per AAU contest. At the guard position, Jacobs was a premier shot blocker in the nation; blocked lay ups in transition and off jump shots. He was able to dominate on the defensive end on or off the ball.
6’0 G KEONDRE SCHUMACHER (U-HIGH NORMAL)
The central Illinois guard showed he was more than just a shooter; Schumacher displayed his improved passing and ball-handling ability throughout the AAU season. He was able to be successful and prove he was D1-caliber point guard against top guards across the country as while. His strength and athleticism made him a very pesty defender and allowed him to guard opponents full court.
6’8 F/C MANNY PATTERSON (KENWOOD)
The top post in the city of Chicago was arguably one of the best big men in the NY2LA Association circuit. He was able to show off more than his post moves such as his shooting ability from the midrange/3-point line, mobility, and his passing ability. Patterson was one of our vocal leaders on the defensive end and snatched most the rebounds in his area.
