The point guard group is led by Markese Jacobs (Uplift). The sophomore had a tremendous spring and summer on the circuit for the Mac Irvin Fire where he was consistently dominant. Quick and shifty point guard that can score at all three levels and has established himself as a high-major target. Kejuan Clements (Simeon), Marquise Walker (St. Joseph’s), and Joseph Yesufu (Bolingbrook) all flashed potential as freshman on the Chicago high school basketball scene.
Dashon Enoch (OPRF) is a tough and athletic point guard that can change the game on the defensive end. One we think could breakout this season. Another 6’0” combo guard that is athletic and versatile is Jamir Price (Rock Island). Lyons Township has a duo of point guards that are in the top 10 of the position in Nolan Niego and Tyrese Shines. Niego is more of a set up guy and Shines looks to score.
The baby faced assassin Zach Touissant (Johnsburg) can let it fly from deep! Other smaller guards with potential include Eric Cannon (Waubonsie Valley), Jeremiah Washington (Bogan), Jaeden Smith (Quincy), Andre White (Harvest Christian), and Fred Cleveland (Urban Prep Englewood). More physically developed guards early in the process that could be worth monitoring are Jordan Myrick (Simeon) and Tyler Cochran (Bolingbrook).
