Tyler Bormann (Moorhead). The Spuds had a tough 15-16 season and Coach Zimmerman stepped down after seven seasons. Bormann took the job after four quality years at Breckenridge. A quality hire.
Jeff Butorac (Rochester Century). Butorac is a Rochester JM grad who comes to Century after two years as an assistant at Southern Arkansas where he helped with the girls program. Butorac did a very nice job at Burnsville when he stepped in a couple years ago when Coach Eppen was treated for cancer. Solid hire.
John Carrier (Henry Sibley). The new Sibley boss has a big job ahead of him trying to guide the Warriors back to where they recently were. Carrier has recently learned at Tartan and St. Thomas as an assistant coach so the Suburban East teams are something he knows well.
Rick Canton (Rochester Mayo). A 57 year old coach who has spent the last couple years at UST as a girls assistant Before that Canton was at Pine Island where he coached for 27 seasons.
Ryan Freeberg (Minnetonka). Freeberg is the third head coach for Tonka in the last three years. Freeberg comes to the Skippers after college assistant stints at both The Citadel and College of Charleston.
Brady Hannigan (Stillwater). Was the head coach at Hill-Murray the last few seasons and now takes over the Stillwater program from Randy Jordan. Hannigan graduated from North St. Paul.
Tharen Johnson (Farmington). Johnson was the junior varsity coach at Farmington the last dozen years and now moves into the position as head coach. Johnson is the only AAAA new coach that was promoted from within.
Josh Ortmann (Buffalo). The Buffalo High School grad comes back home and will lead the program that lists him as the all time leading scorer in school history. Josh is a 27 year old coach with energy for his program.
Jeff Wall (Anoka). Wall comes to Anoka from Maranatha where he did an outstanding job for several years at the Class A level. Wall is now coaching in the NW Suburban Conference and was a strong hire for Anoka.
