When asked about July he said, “my July was pretty good overall. Played a lot of good competition and was able to get my name out there on a national level.” He certainly has improved his game, he went on to say, “I’ve definitely improved on my shot making ability and also my ball handling against smaller guards. I’m still working on playing lower to the ground and overall consistency.”
When focusing on this upcoming season at Saguaro he has positive things to say, “I’m very excited for high school ball after sitting out last year due to the transfer rule. Our team is looking good and we have some good pieces and solid chemistry with each other. I really like Saguaro and the basketball program. Coach LaRue is a big reason I love it there. He’s a good coach and a great guy. Along with that I love all the guys on the team and enjoy playing along side my good friend Jake Lieppert. I Can’t wait for the season.”
When asked about recruiting Martin lights up, “So far the recruiting process has been really good for me. I’ve currently heard from and talking to Marquette ,Cal, San Diego State, Colorado, Pepperdine, UCSB, San Jose State, NAU, Rice, Southern Utah, GCU, Dartmouth, & Cal Poly. When asked what he is looking for he confidently states, “I’m looking for a great coaching staff and coaches, I have good relationships with and get along with. Also, teammates who I’m comfortable with and a school I can see my self succeeding at.”
