Continue ReadingIn the 2018 class, Mason Johnson is a standout prospect with very good size & length with the capabilties to play inside & out on the floor. He had a great summer improving his game playing summer league with Pinnacle High School as well as his new AAU program, Alvin Gentry Elite.
We got to spend some time with Mason and he kept us updated on what’s new with him. When asked about July he said, “my July went very well playing with Alvin Gentry Elite, I have improved my game as a guard immensely over the summer. I’m still working on getting a lot quicker and stronger.”
When looking ahead to this season at Pinnacle he is positive stating, “this season I think is going to go very well, we are a very young team but everyone of our guys are ready to work. Johnson enjoy playing for well respect valley coach Charlie Wilde, “I enjoy playing for Coach Wilde and the rest of our coaching staff because they bring it every day in practice there won’t be one day where they aren’t pushing us.”
In regards to his recruiting, it’s beginning to heat up, Johnson said, “I heard from a good amount of schools after July but I’ve talked to Cal Poly, UCSB, and Dartmouth the most.
