“This summer I’ve lifted to become more physical and played with an NAIA team at their open gyms seeing how I measured up and how I would have to adjust my game this coming season and in college,” John said.
Dakota Valley had a great 2015-16 season winning 20 games and earning a spot at state. They didn’t win state but this year that is the goal.
“I’m just going to try to go into the season already in shape if I can,” John said. “As far as the team we just all need to be on the same page and understand that we have a goal this year.
“Last year we got third in state. This year our goal is to win it. And I think we all understand that.”
At John’s size, work rate, and production level he will play college basketball if he wants to. He’s got a couple schools on him but that number will likely go up through the winter when schools see John again as he didn’t play AAU this off-season.
“I’m hearing from Briar Cliff University,” said Prochello. “That’s the only team and school I’ve been talking to so far. I will be doing a visit up at Morningside soon but have not set a specific date for when I will be there.”
