He is a smooth handling guard that plays off the ball most of the time, but his best asset might be his vision and passing. Projectable body and frame along with upside at the next level. Moves well laterally on defense and has solid form on his jump shot.
Beane ran with the St. Louis Eagles 16U on the circuit which was a talented group.
“The spring and summer have gone well. We went to the Peach Jam. We didn’t do as well as we wanted too. We have been working hard. I think I am getting better. Going into the EYBL and playing in the Peach Jam seeing the competition and where you stand and where you have to improve helps a lot.”
How did June go getting back together with fellow D1 prospect Kani Acree and his Carbondale team?
“It was fun. We only lost four games. I think we are going to be pretty good this year and I look forward to it.”
He knows he will have to take on an even bigger scoring load this year.
“I am looking to be more of a scorer than I have been. Coach has told me that I have to score more and lead the team. I am looking forward to that.”
What is the latest with recruiting?
“I am going on an unofficial visit soon to Vanderbilt. I have got some calls from Indiana, SMU, St. Louis, and a couple more.”
He is looking forward to the Vanderbilt visit. What stands out about their program?
“The history and that they are in the SEC. The competition playing Kentucky and all those other schools.”
