Rushin is a big time athlete that knows how to use that on both ends of the floor. He has electric speed and quickness in the transition game. Improving perimeter jump shooter and has potential defensively. Needs to be on more low-major radars.
Rushin played with Meanstreets on the Nike EYBL circuit and got to experience playing at Peach Jam during the first July live period.
“Peach Jam was a great experience and I got to see some of the things that I need to work on.”
What does he feel his most underrated quality is as a player?
“My will on defense. I like to play defense. Get into my man and get steals.”
He updated us on his recruitment.
“Two offers. One from Winthrop and one from Western Illinois. Interest from UTEP and some other schools.”
Winthrop has been in constant contact.
“I like the coaching staff. How they are constantly texting me after every game.”
Western Illinois is also in pursuit of the wing.
“They make sure they text after every game and tell me the stuff that they liked.”
Rushin broke down his timeline for a decision.
“My decision will most likely be on my birthday (February 1st) or after the high school season.”
