“Lately I’ve been hearing from a lot of D3 high-academic schools,” Strazzanti told NHR. “I’ve been talking to Carleton probably the most lately, and St. Thomas would be the next. I’ve also been hearing from Upper Iowa, Macalester, Augsburg, Rose Hulman (IN).

The high-academic attention makes sense when you consider Strazzanti’s GPA of 3.9 (unweighted), 27 ACT score and senior courseload of eight AP classes.
So, the big question… if Alex goes D3, would he consider playing both football and basketball? Although time-consuming, it’s not unheard of for athletes at the D3 level to play multiple sports.
“It would certainly be something I would consider if the situation/school was right, but I think in college I would prefer to just specialize in one,” Strazzanti said.
Watch Chaska this winter as they will have a nasty senior trio in Strazzanti, D1-offered Myles Hanson and breakout prospect Andrew Kallman.
