Spencer is slick driving through traffic and changing directions on a dime in the paint for scores. Finishes with runners and floaters. Speed in transition, but can be a little wild at times with it. Impresses with his on ball pressure defense.
Spencer talked with us about his spring and summer.
“The spring and summer has gone well. I didn’t really play AAU in the spring. I just worked out. I did well in July.”
What areas has he been focusing on in his game?
“I have worked on my jump shot since last year. That has gotten better and making plays.”
Downers Grove South has a loaded senior class with Spencer, TJ Clifford, and Denis Alibegovic. He spoke about his role on the team.
“Last year my job was making plays. Now I have to be more of a scoring guard and leading my team to wins.”
