The younger brother of Harrison and Connor plays with the same competitive fire and spirit of his older brothers. Nolan is a sound perimeter shooter that can knock them down with regularity especially spotting up. Good shooter off the dribble as well. You have to like how Niego runs his team and gets everyone involved. High IQ and makes crisp passes. Defensively he has the mindset to get up into his man and guard them hard.
Niego spoke about his summer with Chicago Lockdown 15U.
“It has gotten better with time. We have gotten better and won some big games and gotten further in tournaments.”
The rising sophomore broke down his game.
“My game I like to get other people around me better. Share the ball while still scoring. I am going for win and not my shots. Whatever can help the team.”
What has he learned from his older brother Harrison who played at Indiana this past season?
“From a young age he has taught me to see the court. Whenever he sees something that I don’t he will call it out and talk to me. I think his court vision has come down to me and I would hope one day mine will be as good as his.”
Lyons had a strong June with Niego, his older brother Connor, and fellow sophomore Tyrese Shines leading the way in preparation for next high school season.
“We did well. We won a bunch of games. It was fun. We would do five in and five out so we would get lots of playing time. Sharing the ball and scoring real well.”
