It might not necessarily always be the highest rated prospect in the program either although it very well could be.
PrepHoopsIllinois names the Illinois Bears MVP for the spring and summer Okawville 2017 shooting guard Noah Frederking.
The rising senior joined an already impressive cast of southern Illinois standouts including Grant Wolfe and Justin Shadowens on the 17U squad. Frederking made this team significantly better. He is a big and strong guard who can really shoot the basketball from the perimeter. Frederking moves well without the basketball to get open and has a quick release on his jump shot. Sneaky athlete that can finish through contact at the rim.
With the addition of Frederking to their lineup the Bears were able to boast four guys who could drop 20 points any given game. He provided a rebounding force from the guard spot as well as being able to defend multiple positions.
Congratulations to Noah on winning the Illinois Bears program MVP award!
