17U
Record:
10-5 in July
3-2 Next Level Invitational, 3-3 at Summer Jam, 4-1 at Las Vegas
Championships/Accomplishments:
Key Wins: All-In Young & Reckless, Grand Rapids Storm, Michigan Warriors
Overall Thoughts on Season:
I thought we continued to improve throughout the season. In July we were very
competitive and showed that we could play with, and beat some of the top
programs in the area.
Standout Performers:
Parker Bland – F, Quincy, IL
Parker has an unmatchable motor. He simply outworks his opponent on every play.
He is a great competitor and leader.
Justin Bottorff – F, Quincy IL
He has a high ceiling. He is a high-IQ player that can score in various ways.
J Micheal Young – PG, Bettendorf, IA
He has a big upside. He is big/physical PG with a lot of potential.
His best basketball is way ahead of him.
16U
Record:
12-5
6-2 Next Level Invitational, 2-2 Summer Jam, 4-1 Las Vegas
Championships/Accomplishments:
Next Level Invitational Gold Bracket Champs
Key Wins:
Playground Elite, Illinois Stars IBA, Yanders Law
Overall Thoughts on Season:
We were inconsistent throughout the entire year. At times we could play with top competition
and then play down to bad competition. There is a lot of talent on this team, but
that talent did not manifest itself consistently enough to win.
Standout Performers:
Lacey Watson – G/F, Rock Island, IL
Lacey is a tremendous scorer. He is one of the bigger/tougher wings around
and plays angry. He could be a very solid player down the road.
Devynn Wakefield – G/F, United Township, East Moline, IL
He is very athletic that has great court vision. He has a very high upside.
Bryan Dayman – F, Pleasant Valley HS, Bettendorf, IA
Bryan is a high IQ 4 man that is always in the right place at the right time.
He is tough on both ends of the floor. Continues to improve.
15U
Record:
11-6 in July
4-1 Next Level Invitational , 6-2 Summer Jam, 1-3 Kansas City
Championships/Accomplishments:
Team Duke Shootout (Madison. WI) Champions
Key Wins:
Howard Pulley, Northern Kings, Wisconsin Academy, Colorado Titans Gold,
Overall Thoughts on Season:
15’s had another great season. This is a very talented team that continues to get better.
They are very balanced and we are excited about this group over the next two years.
Standout Performers:
DJ Carton – PG, Bettendorf, IA
DJ is a highly skilled guard that can score from all 3 levels.
He is a game changer on both ends of the floor
Deonte Billups – G/F, Moline, IL
Deonte is a long/athletic wing with a nose for the ball. He is just scraping the surface
of his potential and we are excited to see his development over the next year.
Jamir Price – G/F, Rock Island, IL
Jamir is a strong and smooth wing with an uncanny ability to score off of the bounce.
He is a high IQ player that rarely gets hurried.
