Continue ReadingKC Run GMC was one of the most dominant 15U teams in the country during the summer. In the month of July, KC Run GMC won championships at the Mullen’s High Profile Tournament and Jayhawk Summer Finale. Their crowning achievement was the championship at the Under Armour Association Nationals in Atlanta.
KC Run GMC was especially dominant in the UAA as they went through the entire schedule with an undefeated record. The team is made up of top young talent from Missouri and Kansas.
Top Missouri Prospects:
Lamel Robinson 5’10” (Park Hill South): A lightning quick blur of a point guard who can excel at either backcourt position. Robinson showed the ability to get buckets in transition with his speed or in the halfcourt with his shooting and his ability to get in the lane and finish.
Desi Williams 5’9″ (Park Hill South): Another quick and speedy point guard who forms an electric backcourt when he’s running with Robinson. He’s more of a pass-first guard who can control tempo and facilitate things for this loaded squad.
Top Kansas Prospects:
Jeremiah Robinson 6’8″ (Bishop Miege): A very skilled combo forward who is an emerging star, but plays a very sound and fundamental team game. He has a tremendous skill set, but he also enjoys doing the intangible things such as blocking out and setting screens to help his team. A major prospect who already has an offer from Kansas.
Zach Harvey 6’4″ (Topeka Hayden): An outstanding young wing player with an offer from Kansas already on the table. He is a potent scorer who can put it on the floor or knock down 3-pointers. Can take over games with his scoring.
Josh Earley 6’7″ (Bishop Miege): He was a very productive performer on the interior throughout the summer. He was an excellent compliment to Robinson. He averaged eight points during UAA play and was the team’s second leading rebounder.
