Grassroots First Person: Team RWA
In our “First Person Grassroots Recap” series we take a look at how the travel team season went for one our state’s programs.
Today we talk with Antwon Jennings of Team RWA 17U.
17U
Championships/Accomplishments:
Made it to final four bronze elite in Big Foot
Overall Thoughts on Season:
We showed as a first year after being with the Fire that we could compete.
We played a very tough schedule including playing in the super pool with
Garner Road and Mass Rivals at the Peach State event in Augusta
which we pushed both teams.
Standout Performers:
Zach Couper – has proven to be one of the best shooting guards in the state.
Can score multiple ways and has good athleticism
Dorian Aluyi – tough hard nose guard who can defend multiple positions, but
can score at a high level and hits the glass. Has great athleticism led the team in scoring in July.
Carlos Hines – tough guard who can defend. He’s great off the dribble gets to
the rim and plays with an edge.
Addison Lubert – averaged close to 12 and 10 in Vegas showed he could score multiple ways.
Treye Tucker – future is very bright as a 2019 point had multiple games at 17u
where he made over 7 3’s.
Mick Sullivan – undersized big future could be bright if he grows a little more,
but he played 17u and he’s 16.
