Being able to watch a team like Grassroots Indiana 2018 Blue allows us to watch 10 guys who can all play about the same level and are all legit college prospects. With this group, they showed some growth from the start of the season as guys like Anthony Barnard and Trent Miller took steps forward to help Caleb Middlesworth and Kace Kitchel lead this team. They should follow suit to their 2017 counterpart and be one of the better non-shoe sponsored programs in the state.
Best Player: Oak Hill’s Caleb Middlesworth is the guy on this team that gives them a legit post player and a threat against opposing teams. He was solid this season improving his low post play while at the same time starting to show a little bit of a face-up game. He’s going to have to really improve his perimeter jumper in the next year if he is going to make that transition but he seems to be on the right track.
Players To Watch: Anthony Barnard was the player I walked away this summer thinking could make the biggest jump in the next twelve months. He’s got great size at 6’5 and he’s really mobile and comfortable playing on the wing and into the lane. He showed flashes of his offensive game but a little more assertiveness would go a long way for him. At Kokomo last season, he was a player that was solid but he’s going to be given a lot more opportunities in his junior campaign.
