Continue ReadingAt almost 6-foot-9, Stefon Fisher has the ability to impact the game in many ways. The rising senior forward, who is running on the UAA Circuit this summer with D.C. Blue Devils, was a standout during the BSN Summer League for IDEA. Originally a football guy, Fisher, who’s been playing competitive hoops since age 13, exhibits tremendous two-way versatility for his size.
“I just play hard,” Fisher began. “I try to do a little bit of everything.”
As he continues to work on his conditioning, Fisher is focused on developing various of his game as he hopes to transition from a four to a three at the next level. Improving his fundamentals are his primary area of focus. Despite the fact he’s still relatively new to the game, Fisher is very skilled and displays a high basketball IQ.
“Passing and vision are two of my strongest attributes,” Fisher stated. “For my size, a lot of people like to think i just like to be in the post. But I like to do everything.”
Fisher’s current offer list consists of Wagner, Rider, Winthrop, Wofford, UNCW, and most recently Illinois State. Fisher unofficially visited Rider in June. High Majors such as Colorado and Kansas State have expressed interest. Fisher would like to visit Colorado by the end of July.
“Comfortability,” said Fisher about what he’s considering when thinking about his college decision. “Coaching staff. The relationship they have with the players.”
