Jakobsze was flying all over the floor and playing with a motor. At times he will turn it over or run into a teammate because of it, but he is always moving. His defense gets things started turning turnovers into points on the other end. He had a stretch of a few possessions where he got a stop on one end and converted on the other including a big flush. Tough wing that competes on both ends. Better athlete than we initially thought. He displayed some solid three point ability as well. Potential D2 prospect.
Jakobsze spoke about how his defense gets his offense going.
“A lot of the time my game gets started on the defensive end. My offense gets started with my defense. That gets me going.”
How was June with his high school team?
“We didn’t play as many games as we normally do. The team is looking really good. We have a lot of chemistry and returning seniors. It should be really good.”
He updated us with the latest schools he has been talking too.
“I have a few schools I have been in touch with. I visited Lehigh, Naval Academy, American, and Delaware.”
Any of those standing out?
“I really liked Delaware and Lehigh a lot, but I am still really open.”
No offers currently, but look for more schools to get involved with the Mercury Elite guard.
