PF Orlando Allen (SYF 16U)
This Thornton 6’7” power forward flashed during the high school season and that continued on Sunday. He is a four man that excels using his quickness especially getting on the offensive glass for second chance opportunities. Makes his living doing that. Also effective attacking when facing up from the mid-post and taking a couple dribbles to get to the rim. Shoots a high percentage on the shots he takes. Low-major prospect in 2018.
SG Cade Walberg (MBA Select 16U)
The Indiana prospect was the go to weapon for MBA Select in their upset victory over SYF to start the day. Walberg stands at 6’2” with the ability to stroke it from the perimeter. Plus shooter off the catch especially when he runs to the line in transition. Solid athlete that also converted an alley-oop and sealed the game with a couple finishes in the open floor late.
PG Jeremiah Washington (All-In/Young & Reckless 15U)
Washington is a 5’7” point guard that shows a lot of leadership skills at a young age. He is a plus passer that likes to make the flashy pass to get his teammates involved. Pushes the tempo in the open floor with plus speed. Slippery through traffic and can hit a runner in the lane.
PF DeChaun Anderson (All-In/Young & Reckless 15U)
Anderson is an undersized and powerful four man that has a physically developed body. He uses that to bully thinner posts on the interior. Anderson is a tough rebounder that finishes through contact consistently.
SG Anthony Fairlee (Illinois Irish 15U)
Love the upside with this 6’3” shooting guard from Springfield Southeast! Fairlee is an ELITE athlete that can jump out of the gym. His combination of size, strength, speed, and out of this world hops make him very intriguing. Great in transition finishing above the rim. The skill set is starting to come along. Hit a few jump shots in the contest we saw with improved form and elevation. Plus defender that moves well laterally.
SG Jirehl Brock (Illinois Irish 15U)
Brock was solid in the spring, but even better to open July. The 6’0” Quincy shooting guard is a dominant rebounder for his size being a force from the guard position on the boards. Has the ability to slash to hoop and is powerful finishing around the hoop. Consistent production throughout the event.
