Wallace is a skilled combo guard that plays for Grassroots Indiana on the circuit. The rising senior was one of the first prospects to make a commitment in the class of 2017. He tells us he is still in communication with USI, but is no longer verbally committed to them.
“Me, my family, and my AAU director decided it was best to open up my recruitment. I am still in contact with USI. Everything is good there. I just want to weigh out all my options.”
Since recently reopening his recruitment he says EIU is a program showing him interest.
“I am taking a visit to Eastern Illinois in August.”
What will he look for in a school?
“The way I fit in with the coaching staff. If they have what I am looking for and I feel good there.”
Wallace discussed his July with Grassroots Indiana.
“It has gone really well. We have a really good team. We have won a lot of games against good competition. I think I have done well in my position with the team.”
What kind of player will the school that lands him be getting?
“I have been playing more of a combo guard this summer, but I see myself as more of a point guard. I like pass first. When the shot is there I will take it. Been working on my jump shot a lot more.”
