Karrington Davis 6’6″ St. Louis Eagles (Chaminade): We’ve seen this talented big wing develop into a complete offensive player over the course of the summer. Early on, Davis displayed a feathery shooting touch from 3-point range. In the last two weeks, he did a tremendous job of getting to the basket and creating off the dribble. He showcased a nifty spin move off the bounce to get several buckets. Has already received offers from Saint Louis and Middle Tennessee State. More will be forthcoming.
Fred Thatch, Jr. 6’3″ St. Louis Eagles (Sikeston): The powerful swingman had a very productive weekend with his own brand of bully-ball. His strength and athleticism made him a tough matchup because he can get so much business down in the low post, whether he’s on the drive or crashing the offensive boards. He even spent several minutes at the point with the ball in his hands. You never have to worry about his effort and motor. Already holds offers from Tulsa and Saint Louis.
Ochai Agbaji 6’3″ KC Keys (Oak Park): The smooth wing player has been terrific throughout the evaluation period and his play resulted in his first Division I offer, which came from Miami (Ohio). Just very impressed with his ability to get buckets at all three levels and seem effortless while doing it. If the jumper isn’t falling, he’s smart enough to get to the basket either score or draw fouls. Very good in transition.
Quinan Reeves 6’4″ Nda Gym (Lincoln Prep): A long, lanky week who did an excellent job in the two games I watched. He was smooth with the handles and he has a high basketball IQ. He did much of his team’s ball handling and he was very good against pressure defense. Reeves was good at getting to the basket off a slashing drive and he was a good finisher around the rim.
Ian Torrey 6’4″ SEMO Bulls (Portageville): The versatile wing who has the size and ability to play anywhere on the floor, which he did throughout the weekend. He is comfortable on the perimeter with his skill set, where he can knock down jumpers and handle and pass the ball. He’s also a solid football recruit and a good baseball player as well.
Mason Taylor 6’3″ KC Run GMC (Grandview): A smooth combo guard with good size and a nice offensive game. He has a versatile set of offensive skills with his handles and good looking jumper. His mid range game is good, especially when he is on the move. He is also an effective defensive player with his size and length.
