Jordan Lathon 6’4″ Team Rush 17U (Grandview): Lathon is a dynamic point guard who has the size and athleticism to impact the game at both ends and in a big way. He combines those attributes with a toughness which enables him to come through with big plays for his team in close games. His size and excellent ball handling ability enable him to get in the lane and create offensive opportunities on drives and short jumpers. He also competes hard on the defensive end where his length gives him an advantage.
Mario Goodrich 6’2″ KC Run GMC (Lee’s Summit West): Another dynamic performer who creates excitement whenever he is on the floor. Defensively, he can create problems when picks up ball handlers in the full court or when he starts participating in traps. On offense, he continued to be at his best when going full throttle and attacking the basket. Goodrich has also developed into a good 3-point shooter, which makes him even more difficult to defend.
Jalen Lewis 5’10: Team Rush (Liberty): A very poised point guard who handles the ball deftly and can find teammates with excellent court vision. He does an excellent job of running a pick and roll with his ability to pass and turn the corner and knock down jumpers. Lewis has extended range from 3-point territory as well as a nice stop and pop game from 15 feet.
Ronnie Bell 6’0″ Team Rush (Park Hill): This young man is a very athletic combo guard with plenty of bounce. He was very impressive in the opening game against rival KC Run GMC with a team-high 19 points. Bell shot the ball well with four 3-pointers in that game. He can attack off the dribble or come off screens for open jumpers. A very impressive offensive player.
Shaun Williams 6’2″ St. Louis Eagles (Hazelwood Central): A scoring point guard with good size and the ability to get buckets. Williams plays the game with pace and did a fine job in transition. He displayed his ability to knock down open 3-pointers. He also gives a good effort on the defensive end.
Demarcus Sharp 6’2″ SEMO Bulls (Charleston): An athletic combo guard who excels at either backcourt spot. He is an excellent 3-point shooter with the ability to score off the dribble and in transition. He is also developing into a fine point guard with his ability to facilitate and make his teammates better. He is also an excellent defender.
Levi Woods 5’10 SEMO Bulls (Puxico): A small point guard who plays with a lot of savvy on the floor. He is a nice ball handler who knows how to get into seams and create good scoring chances for himself and his teammates. He is a knockdown shooter from 3-point range who is not afraid to pull up and let it fly from long distance.
