Rasir Bolton – 6’2’’ PG – Team Loaded VA 17U
Bolton plays with great pace and is a big time shooter. He exploded for seven three pointer’s in a championship win over Team Felton. Bolton never gets sped up and has an advanced IQ for a younger guard. He understands how to get to his spots, is crafty with the ball and knows how to run a team. Look for high majors to come calling sooner than later for Bolton.
Alex Petrie – 6’3’’ PG – River City Reign
Petrie had a huge first live period, averaging over 20 points per contest in over 10 games. He shot it well from all three levels, finishing top five in three pointers made and free throws made. He also shot it at a high percentage. Petrie has advanced balls skills and uses his body to fend off defenders who jump in him, making it easy for him to create his own shot. He also played off the ball, reading screens well and changing speeds to create open opportunities.
Deandre Thomas – 6’4’’ G – Team Richmond Garner Road 17U
Thomas has a very high ceiling. He’s a long, athletic combo guard who really straps up defensively. He used his size and athleticism to blow past bigger defenders and bully smaller guards in the lane. His ball handling is coming along and he demonstrated good decision making skills from the lead guard spot. Thomas’ recruitment should take a jump in the coming weeks.
Timon Jones – 5’8’’ PG – Team Richmond Garner Road
Jones can score it. In multiple ways. He hit threes, broke people down off bounce and made crafty shots like floaters in the lane. Jones is quick and strong with the ball. It will be fun to monitor him over the coming weeks and heading into next school year.
Nyzaiah Chambers – 6’7’’ PF – Team Loaded 757
Chambers pulled his first offer from Mount Saint Mary’s after his play in session I. He is a long, active and bouncy post. Utilizing a high motor, he does a good job of running the floor, establishing position and finishing around the basket.
Dimitri Georgiadis – 6’9’’ PF – River City Reign
Georgiadis has a college ready frame now. With broad shoulders and a strong upper body, he did a good job of rebounding all week. He has a soft touch and can shoot it out to the three point line. He will play with Romanian U-18 team in the upcoming FIBA games.
Jonathan Nofleet – 6’2’’ PG – Team Loaded VA
Norfleet exudes toughness. He is a gritty, athletic point guard who takes pride in strapping up defensively. Offensively he has an explosive first step and loves to attack the rim. He has a solid middle game and is developing as a lead guard when running a team. The Salem High School product pulled his third offer from Mount Saint Mary’s following his strong performance over the course of the weekend.
