Atavian Butler 6’1″ McCluer North: A slashing wing player who is always on the attack on the offensive end. In a victory over Clayton, he did an excellent job making mid-range jumpers. He made four 12 to 15 footers on the move in the first half alone. For a young man who likes to get to the rim, the 15 footer is very big for him. He is a very good rebounder for his size and he displayed his excellent court vision.
Jesse Little 6’0″ Soldan: A very good offensive player who displayed a very smooth jumper. He made mid-range jumpers and knocked down 3-pointers. He had good form and good elevation on his jumper. Late in Soldan’s first game against CBC, he did a nice job of attacking the basket and drawing fouls. He is a solid ball handler.
Malek Harris 5’10” Cardinal Ritter: He is the size of a point guard, but he is very good playing off the ball. He is a very good 3-point shooter off the catch, especially from the corners. He is small and quick and he uses that quickness to get himself open for jumpers as opposed to getting into the lane. Plays with a lot of confidence in his shooting.
Laramie Pigram 6’3″ McCluer North: A long, wing player who I was very impressed with today. He displayed some smooth handles and a nice stroke from 3-point range. I liked the size and athleticism that he brought to his position, as well as an impressive skill set. He needs to get a little stronger and more consistent, but he is young and has plenty of potential.
Caleb Love 6’2″ CBC (2020): An incoming freshman point guard with a bright future. Not only does he has excellent size for a youngster, but he plays with very good poise with his savvy and court vision. He is long and he handles himself quite well on the court against older kids. He also gets to the basket and shoots a pretty good jumper.
