He talked about his year with his high school team.
“With St. Ignatius we lost in the game before the regional championship. Overall it was alright. We finished .500 with me and Danny (Ogele) who is going to Navy. We could have done better. As a junior it was my first starting role. I thought I played pretty good. I think my play was pretty consistent throughout the year.”
During the spring and summer he is running with the Illinois Celtics/Hoopers.
“It is going good. We have known each other since sixth grade. Even though this is a new team we have known each other. The energy and effort has been good.”
What does he feel he does well as a player?
“Aggressiveness. Defense gets me going. Defense turns into offense. I think I am a good shooter. My strength offensively is attacking the basket and getting to the line.”
Mack has a few colleges showing interest.
“I have gotten a couple letters from D3 schools in St. John’s and University of Chicago. Navy called me.”
