Continue ReadingBolingbrook point guard Joseph Yesufu has been touted as one of the state’s top lead guards in the class of 2019. He showed this spring with Chicago Select what he can do when the ball was put in his hands. When the rock was placed in his hands he changes the game with his speed and court vision in the open floor. Yesufu has tremendous speed pushing it and blowing by defenders. The strong guard has a sick euro step in the lane that he uses on occasion. Jump shot is a bit streaky. Scoring point guard that is just a playmaker. Already holds on D1 offer from Wisconsin Green Bay. Expect more to follow.
What does he like about Wisconsin Green Bay?
“They are a great program. The coaches are very nice.”
More colleges have been in contact with his high school coach Robert Brost about him.
“Western Illinois, Northern Illinois, Illinois State, and Xavier.”
What are his strengths as a player?
“I am a take it to the basket player. I need to work on my shooting and defense.”
He spoke about playing with Chicago Select 15U this summer.
“It is going great. We haven’t reached our peak, but once we get there we will be a national team.”
