The rising senior had an inconsistent junior campaign, but the raw tools are without a doubt there. He is best in the transition game where he can get up and down as a finisher. Likes to find weak spots in the half-court defense and slash through them. Potential as a wing defender at the next level. He has low-major upside as a prospect. We caught up with Wilson to discuss his junior year at Niles Notre Dame.
“It was a slow start, but I think I picked up it up midway especially in the playoffs.”
What does he feel his strengths are as a player?
“Slashing, cuts, finishing, and hard takes off the dribble.”
He has enjoyed playing with Young Legends on the UAA circuit this spring.
“I like it a lot. Everyone is real open and accepting. Everyone is unselfish which is really different.”
Wilson is hearing from a pair of schools.
“Yale has contacted me. Coach Weinstein says Navy is interested in me.”
