What he lacks in height Whitelow makes up for in heart. He is a true floor general that sees the court and makes sound decisions with the basketball every time. Whitelow gets in the lane where he is a magician with the ball in the drive and kick game. Knows how to run a team in the half court while also pushing it in the open floor. Not a huge scorer. Pesky on ball defender. Game changer at the D3 level and could be right fit for a D2.
The floor general discussed his spring with the Illinois Irish 17U.
“It is going well. We are playing really good team basketball. We move the ball a lot. It is all that chemistry we have had since 15U. I am playing well. I am showing people I am a true point guard that can score when I have too. I am getting everyone open.”
What is his mindset as a lead guard?
“Attacking at all times. Making the defense come to me and dishing to shooters.”
He has a pair of colleges showing interest.
“I am talking to Winona State and Truman State the most.”
