He can be a bit streaky from three, but definitely shows he has NBA range on his jumper pulling up from deep. Smooth scorer that flies down the court in transition and uses body control at the rim to convert. Like what he brings to the table defensively with his motor and in your face mentality. Potential D1 prospect.
Hines broke down what he does well on the court.
“My strengths are shooting better than others. I am lengthy and use that on defense. A lot of people are long, but don’t use it on defense. I have vision and leadership. I talk on the court and get my teammates involved.”
He updated us on his recruitment.
“I have one offer from Winthrop. I have a lot of interest from Cornell, Penn, Yale, and UAB.”
What does he like about Winthrop?
“I like that they are far away from home. I want to get away.”
Hines plays with the Illinois Icemen on the travel team circuit.
