Is willing to bang on the interior and competes on the boards. Offensively shoots the ball well as a floor spacer. Particularly shoots it well from the baseline from 15 feet all the way out to the corner three. Flashes a post move every now and then backing his man in with strength. High level D3/NAIA prospect with possibility to play at the D2 level.
McCombs discussed where his game is improving this spring with the Illinois Irish.
“I am attacking the rim a lot more. My shooting is pretty consistent now. Being a lot more aggressive to the rim.”
How was his high school season at Jacksonville?
“We tied for conference for the first time in 10 years. I was all conference. I think we were 20-9.”
The four man spoke about the strengths in his game.
“I the shot corner shot because they have to come out and I can take them baseline.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“Some D2’s. McKendree has talked to me. Going to Quincy camp. Dordt College, Graceland, St. Xavier, and a couple more.”
