PG Denmark Slay (District Basketball Club)
Denmark is a very dynamic guard who is a flat out speedster in the open court. He’s a sparkplug to his team, who has the ability to create a shot for himself as well as others. He defends with tenacity on the perimeter, and plays with a tireless motor.
C Zion Cousins (District Basketball Club)
Zion is a long, bouncy post who cleans up the glass effectively in his area. He’s a mobile big who runs the floor, and plays above the rim. He also plays with a ton of energy, and is a relentless shot blocker.
SG Kyle Copeland (District Basketball Club)
Kyle is a graceful athlete who showed off a nice playmaking skill set. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard has good length, and is a solid perimeter defender who has quick feet. He fills the lane correctly and finishes above the rim in transition. As he continues to gain more consistency with his three point shot and continue to improve his strength, he should fit in nicely as a low major guard.
SG Michael Maurer (Team Takeover Orange)
Mike is a long guard who excels as a dead eye three point shooter. He’s a sneaky athlete who likes to get out in transition, and can finish above the rim. He plays with a tireless motor and is a solid defender both on and off the ball. He’ll need to continue to add strength to his relatively thin frame, but he should fit in nicely at the division 3 level.
PG Donald Carey (District Basketball Club)
At 6-foot-4, Donald Carey has a great build for a lead guard. He also possesses a high basketball IQ along with a crafty and confident handle. He’s long, active defender who moves his feet and exhibits quick hands. His paint getting ability is praiseworthy, and he can finish efficiently around the rim. He plays with a high motor as well. He projects as a solid mid major division 1 point guard.
SG/SF Jake Kuhn (District Basketball Club)
Jake Kuhn demonstrates an advanced feel for the game. The lefty knows how to space the floor in half court and is prolific from long range, but is also a good athlete who likes to run the floor and finish above the rim in transition. He’s a crafty ball handler who makes strong drives to the basket where he finishes with a nice touch. Owning a near 4.0 GPA, Ivy League schools should hope to land him.
PG David Garey (Team Takeover Orange)
David is a quick and skilled old school floor general. He’s a good paint getter who finishes with variety around the basket, but he also demonstrates the ability to pull up on a dime and hit from mid and long range. He’s an unselfish and accurate passer who can deliver with either hand.
