CG Jamal Washington (Higher Level Premier)
Jamal once again demonstrated a high IQ on both ends of the court. He’s a well-built guard who’s a solid defender because he reacts to the passing lanes quickly and has quick, active hands. He’s a crafty handler who can play on and off the ball, and has good paint getting ability. He’s got a knack for putting the ball in the basket at all levels, but is also an unselfish and reliable playmaker.
SF James Shellington (Higher Level Premier)
James is a very long forward who is extremely versatile on the defensive end. He’s got great instincts and is versatile enough to effectively defend on the perimeter and in the post. His offensive game is still coming along, but his tremendous defensive impact is well noted.
PG Dom Fragala (Higher Level Premier)
Dom is a solid ball-handler who can deal with pressure. He’s very quick and crafty with the ball, and can get into the paint rather easily. His long range jump shot is efficient from the catch and off the bounce. He’ll need to continue to add strength to be able to finish around the rim, but he’s a super skilled lead guard who can score it in bunches.
PF/C Arminas Kleisys (Team Takeover Orange)
Arminas is quite clearly still just scratching the surface of his true potential. He’s got great size, and his mobility along with his soft touch gives him great versatility on both ends of the floor. He’s a strong defender in the post who can elevate and challenge shots at the rim. Owning soft hands, Arminas is not a bad rebounder out of his area and runs the floor with purpose.
C James Dunlop (Team Takeover Orange)
At 6-foot-11, James Dunlop is a big and physical low post presence. Though he did not gain much playing experience during the high school season with Paul VI, Dunlop showed some signs of what he can be in a couple of years. He’s got a soft touch and solid footwork on the low block. He’ll need to continue to get in shape, and that will come with more reps but he’s tracking as a solid division 3 post candidate.
CG Trent Dixon (Team Takeover Orange)
Normally a shooting guard, Trent Dixon filled in at the point guard position and put on a solid performance. He dished out 7 assists in a win, demonstrating a high IQ and the ability to handle pressure in the backcourt. He’s a quick and crafty guard who knows how to change pace, and can pull up on a dime and shoot efficiently off the dribble.
PG Matthew Kelly (Maryland Elite)
Despite his relatively small frame, Matthew Kelly makes a big impact on both ends of the floor. He’s a high energy guard who’s not afraid to stick his nose in and fight for 50/50 balls. He’s a solid rebounder who reacts quickly and possesses a nice feel for the game. Offensively, he’s a knock-down three point shooter who is also able to get into the paint and mix it up a bit. He’s an accurate passer and finisher with either hand as well.
