PF Emmanuel Aghayere | Team Pro Look 17U
Emmanuel Aghayere possesses a robust frame, which he uses well in the paint area. The bruising 6-foot-5 power forward can move bodies down low. He sets monster screens, and is absolutely relentless on the glass. Aghayere is long, and does a great job tipping rebounds to himself in crowds. He’s a quick leaper. He contests shots with purpose and aggression. Aghayere is a tireless, strong big who plays much bigger than his listed height.
SF Ayush Mayur | District Basketball Club
Considered one of the best pure shooters in Virginia regardless of class, Ayush Mayur is beginning to expand offensive repertoire. Mayur has very good range and form on his three point jump shot to go along with a quick release and nice rotation. The 6-foot-5 rising junior shrewdly uses head fakes to open up driving lanes and get into the lane where he’s a crafty finisher. Mayur has a soft touch around the basket as a result of his length. He’s a smart defender who positions himself well and will take a charge. Mayur does a good job boxing his man out and rebounds well for his position. He understands how to space the floor and fills the lanes correctly in transition.
SF Jeremiah Owusu | Team Loaded VA
A big time athlete out of the 757 region, Jeremiah Owusu has received a number of division 1 offers on the gridiron. His high level athleticism is evident on the hardwood. Owusu is a good leaper who shows an extra burst in the open court. He demonstrates a high work rate on both ends of the floor. Owusu has good defensive potential given his quickness, strength, instincts and anticipation ability.
PF Dominique Johnson | BWSL WAWG
Dominique Johnson first caught our attention this winter with Kecoughtan at the Vantage Hoops Virginia High School Showcase. Johnson uses his wide frame to effectively carve out space in the low post. He establishes early position on the low block, where he uses solid footwork and a nice touch to produce efficiently. He is a mobile big who runs the floor, rebounds, and contests shots but can also score consistently from the mid range areas as well as in the paint.
PF Nyzaiah Chambers | Team Loaded 757
Nyzaiah Chambers put together one of the strongest defensive performances we’ve seen this year vs. Battlefield in the 6A state tournament. The long, athletic big man recorded 11 blocks in a victory for Oscar Smith. He displayed impeccable timing, solid leaping ability and good instincts in the paint. Chambers has soft hands and a great work rate. He runs the floor and makes his presence felt on the offensive and defensive glass. Chambers is also an effective communicator as the anchor of a defense.
