The state was rattled this past season by the departure of Marvin Bagley but they picked up the pieces and at the end of the day was one of the state’s top teams with super prospects Saben Lee and Alex Barcello. Both of these young men are receiving loads of division 1 interest from high major schools from the ACC to the PAC 12 and other conferences a like. Heading into the 2016-17 high school basketball season, the Aztecs will be contenders for a state title.
Head coach Neil MacDonald is entering his second season at the helm for the Aztecs, after the first season of some adjustment look for them to do make a deep run in the playoffs and have a great summer where the culture & fundamentals are instilled within the program.
MacDonald states, ‘We focus only on development in summer. Games are merely there so players can work on skills from workouts in a live environment.”
