Perry Cowan (DePaul Prep) leads the way at the shooting guard position. He has size, length, and athleticism to go along with a high skill level with his ability to score in multiple ways. Big time upside with the young guard. After Cowan there is a group of powerful and athletic slashers that have potential as two way players in Myles Baker (Whitney Young), LJ Johnson (Morgan Park), Anthony Fairlee (Springfield Southeast), and Lance Jones (Evanston). Some skilled perimeter scorers to watch for include Erik Cohn (York), Antonio Reeves (Kenwood), and Michael Salter (Romeoville).
The small forward spot was led by Kahlil Whitney before his transfer to a New Jersey prep power. Malik Hall (Metea Valley) is the name to closely watch now. Skilled three with great size that can really shoot the basketball from deep. Bryant Brown (Waukegan) is a long term prospect that has upside as a combo forward. More big wings to like include Johnny Roeser (Carmel), Chris Payton (Bloomington), Kai Bates-Diop (Normal U-High), and Isaac Stanback (Hillcrest).
