Markese Jacobs (Uplift) has had a phenomenal spring with the Mac Irvin Fire. The lead guard is an electric scorer that has been incredibly consistent with his ability to shoot the ball and get to the rim. Another public league guard Kejuan Clements (Simeon) is a rangy guard with projectabiliy that is best as a scorer as well. Another Simeon guard Jordan Myrick is a thick bodied combo guard that has played well with the Illinois Wolves in the spring. A pair of Chicago suburbs guards that played major roles as freshman showing potential are Marquise Walker (St. Joseph’s), Joseph Yesufu (Bolingbrook), and Dashon Enoch (OPRF).
Lots of smaller point guards that are really skilled including Eric Cannon (Waubonsie Valley), Andre White (Loyola), Traevon Brown (East Aurora), Zach Toussaint (Johnsburg), and Fred Cleveland (Urban Prep Englewood).
Then there are lead guards with more size in Nick Kosich (York), Jamir Price (Rock Island), and Nick Perry (LeRoy).
