Formerly known as the Winchester Stars before they were sponsored by former Virginia Tech standout Erick Green, EG Premier got off to one of the hottest starts of any teams in the state as they won’t their first big live period tournament at the Hoop Group Spring Tip-Off at Spooky Nook in Lancaster, PA.
Led by a trio of local hoopers in wings Chandler Brooks and Kobe Tigney and face up four Gus Wise, along with a host of talented role players that can fill it up in their own rights, the EG Premier 16U team has stood out as possibly the best in the organization. They sit at 18-6 with a number of big wins over talented teams up and down the east coast, and the three players mentioned above have come onto division one radars with their stellar play in the live periods.
EG Premier will head back up to Spooky Nook and head down to Myrtle Beach in July for the last live periods. Here’s a few of their highlights from their spring, and keep an eye out for a competitive group of underrated players looking to prove themselves in July.
