Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week 4/25 – 5/1
PrepHoopsIllinois was in the house Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Fort Wayne at the Run N Slam. There were a lot of great performers, but these are the five prospects nominated for the Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week! Make sure you vote for your favorite throughout the week and check back to see who wins.
Jameel Alausa (All-In/Young & Reckless 17U – 2017)
Alausa has a ton of tools to work with and he displayed them in one of the games we caught on Saturday where he was dominant around the hoop using his length, athleticism, and quickness to own the glass as well as score on the interior.
Kezo Brown (Mac Irvin Fire 16U – 2018)
Brown played the best basketball he has played in the last year over the weekend. The slick lefty shooting guard scored both slashing to the hoop and with a more consistent perimeter jumper.
Justin Hardy (Illinois Wolves 16U – 2018)
The St. Charles East power forward plays much bigger than his 6’5” frame. He is great at getting on the offensive glass for second chance put backs. Crafty around the hoop and shoots a high percentage from the field. Among the most productive players in his class.
Kaleb Thornton (Meanstreets 16U – 2018)
The speedy lead guard from Nazareth was playing well off his fellow top point guard prospects. He has slick handles and gets in the lane with ease where he has a knack for finishing at the rim.
Markese Jacobs (Mac Irvin Fire 15U – 2019)
Dominant and consistent scorer on the 15U level. That is exactly what this Uplift guard has been. He lit up the nets at the Spiece Field House with tons of pull up jumpers and strong drives.
