The 6-foot-7 forward led his team to the semi-finals of the Comets Shootout and the title of the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza a few weeks back.
“I feel like the first few weeks have gone really well and that everyone on our team is working very hard,” Tyler told Northstar Hoops Report.
“We have faced some good competition and it’s great going through the season with the same teammates and coaches for six years. Looking forward to the rest of the season and taking in everything one last time.”
Riemersma has always had the skill but his game has taken new steps and he’s become a valued prospect.
“I feel like I have improved my ability to attack the basket and rebound on both ends of the court,” Tyler said. “I feel as though I need to improve on free throw shooting and overall strength.”
In the open period Tyler was seen by many in Minneapolis and Pittsburgh.
“I’ve hear from Navy, Army, Cornell, St. John’s (MN), Texas at Arlington, UW-Eau Claire, and Truman State,” Tyler listed.
Navy has offered Tyler a scholarship and he was very excited that it happened.
“It’s always exciting to get your first offer and to know that the hard work pays off. I am also very thankful for this opportunity.”
