Recruiting Report: Terrance Lewis (2017)

Scan the list of rising senior forwards in the DMV area, and there aren't many who can match the energy and intensity of <strong>Terrance Lewis</strong>. The versatile, 6-foot-6 forward out of National Christian Academy has been a standout on the grassroots circuit with Team Takeover Orange 17U. He has proved himself time and time again by producing at a high level against top competition this spring. Widely considered an unknown until this spring, Lewis is yet to field a scholarship offer. He claims only mild interest from La Salle and the University of Maryland to this point, but is confident that his talents will be recognized within the coming months. "<span style="font-weight: 400;">A lot of people don’t know me cause I’m under the radar, but eventually I’ll get seen in front of the college coaches," Lewis stated.</span> Terrance recalls picking up a basketball for the first time around age 7 or 8. He's passionate about the game, and understands the importance of being able to impact it in multiple ways. "I'm underrated at <span style="font-weight: 400;">shooting the ball or getting to the rim," Lewis explained. "I try to do what I have to do to get an and-1 or finish with a dunk."</span> He admits he still needs to work on being a better leader, citing the importance of team chemistry and unselfishness as keys to success. As he continues to sharpen his offensive skill-set, particularly his ball-handling, he should see an uptick in recruitment given his ridiculously high motor and unselfish team-first mindset.
