Spots up in the corners and on the wings for threes. Clean stroke with consistent accuracy. Solid area rebounder. Needs to improve post game and tighten up ball handling. One to track throughout the spring at the D2 level and possibly for low-majors.
Bruninga spoke about his junior season.
“We were young so at the beginning of the season it started off a little slow. At the middle of the season we started to pick it up. I felt like I made a lot of improvements as the year went on. Finished at the basket stronger.”
What does he feel his strengths are as a player?
“I shoot it. I can get to the hoop. Rebound.”
The post runs with the Illinois Irish 17U on the circuit and told us what he is focusing on this spring and summer.
“Improving my game and getting some college looks.”
Very initial interest from Bradley, Northern Iowa, and Murray State he says.
