Marcedus completed an impressive freshman year in which he went on to average 21 pts/game and now his focus has moved on to the grassroots circuit where he looks to improve his overall game.
. At a rangy 6’5 Leech can shoot the ball from 3 and can also pull up from mid range. His versatility on offense really showed in a monster 34 point performance against the EYBL Alabama Challenge 16U in which the Eagles won 108-106. Marcedus was knocking down shots from long distance, had his midrange game working and also threw down a couple dunks in transition. He credits his explosive workouts and utilization of Vertimax in helping improve his game.
For the second summer in a row he is running with an age group above his and says he has no problem playing up, and the competition just helps him get better. Currently Leech holds offers from Missouri, Missouri State, Vanderbilt, Jacksonville State, New Mexico State, but look for that list to grow with high major schools becoming involved this summer as Marcedus continues to make a name for himself on the circuit. Don’t be surprised if he is on the national radar by end of summer.
