“I feel like my senior season was one of the best years out of my four years playing,” Kobe told PHD. “We had a great season and opened a lot of eyes to people around the state that we could actually play. We was small but we was deadly.
“What I will remember most is the memories that I had with my teammates that I will cherish forever. I will remember jumping out on teams quick, just like that!
“I will remember kicking out threes to my best friend Terrell (Pulliam) who hit 106 threes this season. I will remember the big crowds at home games when you could not hear a thing.
“I’ll mostly remember being the team leader. Lastly I’ll remember playing in big games because I feel like that’s when I played my best.”
The 6-foot-3 O’Rourke not only matured as a player but matured as a leader for the Crusaders.
“Much of my game grew into being a complete leader out on the court. Some say I was like a coach on the floor and I cherish the role. And I just kept doing what I do, getting to the glass, attacking and attacking , and being unselfish getting my guys into it.”
Kobe has the ability to play college basketball. Three programs are looking at him and he also knows there are things that he must do better to get ready for the college level.
“I just have to stay in the gym working hard on my game, get stronger, and faster,” Kobe said. “I’m hearing from Mount Marty, DWU, and Southwestern Christian University.”
