Kameron Harris, a class of 2018 guard, was an integral factor to their late season success. In the Patriots’ 15-point state semifinal win vs. Christ Chapel, the sophomore recorded 17 points and 4 rebounds.
A dynamic athlete, who blends skill with a high motor and a great understanding of the game, Harris is an aggressive guard who gets in to the paint and looks to create for himself and others.
“I’m always in attack mode,” Harris stated. “I like to find my teammates.”
Perhaps the most improved part of his game is his ability to penetrate and finish through contact. As he continues to develop, Harris mentioned two specific areas of focus this summer.
“I’m working on being more of a leader,” he explained. “I’m also working on knocking down the three ball.”
Harris is an exceptional student, who boasts a flawless 4.0 grade-point average. During the Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest, he was invited by the staff at Robert Morris for an unofficial visit of the campus. Other schools who have expressed interest in the lead guard are James Madison, East Carolina, Liberty, George Mason, and Virginia.
Given his high academics, in conjunction with his work rate and solid athleticism, Harris projects among the better guards in Virginia’s 2018 class. He’ll be in action with Team Loaded 757 16U this weekend at the Hoop Group Southern Jam Fest.
