What about now? Jameson Bryan and the Minnesota Warriors are right in the middle of the spotlight as one of several Minnesota Grassroots clubs that are having an awesome year.
“It’s gone really great,” Bryan told NHR late last week. “I’ve enjoyed getting back out on the court and battling with this group of guys. It’s going by too fast though.”
The Warriors have been in three events and have found success. They were semi-finalists in the Comets Shootout and almost beat the Fury but they had trouble boxing out late, but they then rebounded to win the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza the following weekend.
Jameson has felt himself getting better with each event but with three months to go with the Warriors he has much to accomplish.
“I would like to become a much more consistent shooter, and constantly be a threat offensively. And probably my decision making when I get into the paint, whether it’s getting a bucket or getting my teammate an open shot.”
Augustana, Sioux Falls, Bemidji State, Winona State, St. Scholastica, and Concordia-Moorhead were the schools contacting him in April but just a few days ago Bryan ended things when he became the first Minnesota player in the 2017 class to accept a scholarship offer.
Jameson Bryan will join the national champion Augustana program 16 months from now.
“Well it’s a top notch basketball program with a great education on top of that which is really exciting, and something that I was really working for.”
Bryan now has his focus on enjoying the next three months of hoops before senior year starts next September.
“I just need to keep improving every day, fine-tune some individual skills and have some fun in my last AAU season!”
Bryan returns to the Lightning line-up along with Mason Carpenter and both averaged between 11-12 a game last year.
