“I’m a point guard, play point at South Side (for high school) obviously, but really I’m a point and just may be too short to play the two at the next level,” Boucher said. “Most at the next level are 6’4, 6’5, and I’m 6’3, so could be a stretch I’d play a two in college at a major school but it’s always an option and trying to show I’m more of a combo guard and can play either position.”
As he has tried to display his point guard skills, schools like Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana, Purdue, Ball State, Indiana State, Butler, Xavier, Harvard, Stanford, Illinois, Dayton, IPFW, Virginia and Kansas have contacted him. He has already taken unofficial visits to places like Butler, Michigan, Xavier, and Indiana
He hasn’t received any offers yet, but the No. 14 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 60 could receive some in the near future.
With no official offers yet, Boucher doesn’t have any timetable for making a decision, but is still focused on showing how his improved point guard skills and continuing to develop into a high-major talent as he plays with Spiece Indy Heat in the EYBL this summer.
“Main difference this year is playing more at the point in EYBL and getting my name out there as a point guard, but still show I’m a combo guard and can play some two,” Boucher said.
