Bryan Boehlert | 2017 | Team Takeover Orange 17U
Bryan Boehlert impressed with ability to make shots along with his high motor and sneaky athleticism. The 6-foot-5 wing was active on the glass, and ran the floor hard on the break where he showed some nice finishes around the basket.
Jared Bynum | 2018 | DC Blue Devils 17U
Jared Bynum is a savvy lead guard with the ability to create his shot off the bounce, and connect with range from the catch. Owning a tight and crafty handle, the quick and skilled sophomore is a good paint-getter who understands how to set up his teammates. He’s a solid defender who anticipates well and understands angles.
JR Connell | 2017 | DC Blue Devils 17U
JR Connell did a great job on both ends of the floor. He showcased impressive footwork on the low block, and a soft touch out to the three point line. He was very active defensively, where he contested shots and used his strong mitts to firmly secure the ball off the glass.
Jake Kuhn | 2017 | The District 17U
Jake Kuhn impressed with his overall feel and understanding of the game. He’s a prolific shooter from long range, and moves well off the ball to get open. He also did a nice job boxing out, and plucking rebounds off the backboard. He averaged 12 points and almost 5 rebounds in two games while shooting over 57%.
Darryl Morsell | 2017 | Team Melo 17U
Darryl Morsell went pedal to the medal from opening tip until the final whistle on Sunday. He stuffed the stat sheet, recording 31 points (13/21 FG; 1/3 3pt; 4/4 FT) 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in a win vs. DC Blue Devils. The second half is where the brawny and athletic guard took over, scoring 23 points most of which were a result of pure effort.
Andre Rafus | 2017 | Team Melo 17U
Andre Rafus demonstrated a great touch from long range. The long-limbed wing is super confident and flat out knows how to put the ball in the basket. His athleticism was on display on both ends of the floor, where he was seen blocking shots and finishing with force.
Denmark Slay | 2017 | The District 17U
Denmark Slay is a lightning-fast, skilled guard who brings a great deal of energy on both ends of the floor. In two games, the dynamic junior averaged 15.5 points while shooting 54% from the field and 66% from beyond the arc. He showed off a super quick release and the ability to shoot from the catch or off the bounce. Defensively, he dug in and took pride in locking his man up.
