Despite the large number of players who have already declared their future, there are plenty of talented seniors still available. Our best available rundown continues with 10 more names below.
Zach Collins: 6’1″ G
Zach Collins was highly productive for Freedom-South Riding in his final campaign. The senior worked extremely hard on both ends of the floor, and was rewarded by being named VHSL 4A First Team All-State. He used his sneaky athleticism and high work rate to compete with bigger and stronger opponents.
Xavier Adams: 6’3″ SF
Tony Bentley’s “new-look” Wakefield team was a big stronger than advertised this year. A primary reason for their resurgence was the addition of Xavier Adams from Woodbridge. The crafty senior was a two-way standout who exhibited a great feel and understanding for the game. He was most certainly an “X-Factor” during their run to the state final four this year, earning 1st team all-defense and 2nd team all-conference honors.
Charles Falden: 6’3″ SG
Charles Falden orchestrated perhaps the most memorable state championship performance in recent memory. The senior pumped in 17 points in the final two-minutes for L.C. Bird, who came up just short and finished as the state runner up. He continues to produce at a high level for River City Reign, as he poured in 27 points during their championship victory during April’s second live period.
Imrane Amadou: 6’8″ C
As the anchor for Amelia Academy, Imrane Amadou served as a key cog during their state final four run. The senior is a forceful paint presence on both ends, showcasing an exceptional work rate. His ability to consistently produce of late has resulted in scholarship offers from Livingstone and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Dusan Vicentic: 6’7″ PF
Dusan Vicentic excelled in a variety of areas this season for Walsingham Academy. The Serbia native can stretch the floor from the perimeter, but also has a soft touch around the basket and excellent vision. He scored 28 points and snagged 15 rebounds in a TCIS Semifinal victory vs. the top seed Hampton Roads Academy. Owning a solid skill-set to go along with good size and mobility, the lefty’s game translates best to the next level as a stretch four.
Tavaris James: 6′ PG
One of the more underrated players in the region, Tavaris James posted averages of 18 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals per game for TC Williams this year. He earned first team all-conference and all-defense honors, while being named second team all-region. The highly skilled guard can shoot it with range and demonstrates great poise and leadership intangibles.
Jordan Jones: 6’1″ SG
Jordan Jones was another dynamic and underrated guard featured in the TC Williams backcourt. The crafty senior averaged over 16 points per game this year, and was named 2nd team all-conference along with being named team captain. Perhaps his most underrated quality is his unselfishness and willingness to create for others.
Jeremiah Delaney: 5’11” PG
As the point man for Rocky Carter, Jeremiah Delaney led Osbourn to a winning record to close out his senior year. The super athletic lead guard racked up 13.7 points, 6.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per contest, and was named first team all-conference and second team all-region. Given his experience, toughness, and tremendous defensive potential, he will most certainly be an early contributor at the next level.
Jordan Peebles: 6’6″ SF
As the go-to-guy for Greensville, Jordan Peebles was once again a major standout during the state final four at VCU. The senior is a superior athlete, and absolutely relentless. He poured in 28 points to help lead his team to victory over George Mason in the 2A state semifinals. Peebles was named first team all-state.
