The team comprised of 2017 & 2018 kids went 3-1 over the weekend gaining lots of exposure and surprising many on the west coast hoops scene. The team is coached by Kevin Coble & Jarrett Upchurch, the program director is Matt Myers who previously ran the long time club program of the Arizona Eagles.
Gentry Elite won big all weekend until it faced the Oakland Soldiers where Gentry was exposed but still showed fight and toughness. This just helps propel them further to increase their skills in certain areas such as ball pressure.
3 young men who’s stock has risen are:
2018 Ethan Spry showed great post moves & touch around the basket, he was able to run the floor well and with his size and mobility impressed many.
2017 Brennen Davis has a very high ceiling and is ultra athletic, he needs to keep working on his skills but was able to display tools that could carry over to the next level
2018 Jared Martin has a great frame, a D1 jumpshot, stroked it all weekend long but showed some difficulty with his ball handling skills when he faced the Soldiers pressure but still showed that for his size, he is athletic, has a good body and has the jumpshot, he just needs to continue to work on the defensive end and with his ball handling.
