Face up four man that is good in the pick and pop game. Can hit the mid-range jump shot and has a high release point on his jumper. Also has a soft touch and feel scoring around the hoop. Posts up strong and has good hands. High points rebounds. Maybe not the greatest athlete, but he definitely is mobile enough to play at the D3/NAIA level in a couple years.
The southern Illinois prospect talked about his game and what he feels his strengths are.
“I definitely play very well on defense. I try to be a presence in the paint and block shots. Look to score down low. Last year I wasn’t much of a scorer, but this past year I had to expand my range hitting outside shots and inside shots.”
His ability in the pick and roll/pop game is an area that has developed over the last year.
“I would say that definitely came around this year. I have been working on it. We have a few plays where I come to the free throw line. I can also roll down low.”
The southern Illinois post discussed winning a 2A regional and their season as a whole.
“There were a lot of ups and downs. It was really nice to win the regional and the Duster Thomas. Get some big regular season wins. Proud of our guys with how we fought.”
Nothing going on with recruiting at this stage in the process.
